Middle School Boys’ Squash Wins National Championship
Shipley’s Middle School boys’ “A” squash team rallied to win the U.S. Squash Division II National Championship on Sunday, January 29 with a 3-2 win over Belmont Hill School at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
The team advanced to the finals with wins over Fair Haven (4-0), Eastern Middle School (4-1), and Calvert School (3-2).

Lower School’s Tina Wattles Retires After Nearly 20 Years

BJ Glenn ’07: Building a Career on Exposure to Communities Outside His Own
The son of a North Philly cop and South Philly educator, Shipley alumnus Robert "BJ" Glenn III ’07 demonstrated prowess as an athlete and as a student. Knowing the importance of a good education, BJ's parents enrolled him in Kindergarten at Shipley where he soon made his mark in class, and later on Shipley’s playing fields in lacrosse, baseball, and other sports.
