Upper School Spectrum Members Featured on Philly.com

Day of Silence is a student-led national event where people take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people at school. On Friday, April 27, Shipley's Spectrum group, a club in both Middle and Upper School which supports the LGBTQ community at Shipley, participated in and encouraged others to participate in the Day of Silence.

Spectrum members Lydia Chambers '17 and Maia Virgil '17 shared with Philly.com what the day means to them and their hopes for the day's outcomes.
