Shipley Celebrates 125 Years of Changemakers

Since founding sisters Hannah, Katharine, and Elizabeth boldly pioneered women’s education in 1894, Shipley has had a positive impact on the world by inspiring and preparing thousands of students to make meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

The Shipley sisters created a school committed to educational excellence and character development. Today, Shipley leads in integrating Positive Education, which will advance academic and character excellence, and prepare students to continue to create change in the world. Looking to the future, we can’t wait to see what the changemakers of the next 125 years will go on to achieve.

Please join us on campus as we kick off the celebration on Super Saturday – Under the Lights on Saturday, September 29. During the day there will be a kids carnival, community barbecue, and athletic contests. We will play “under the lights” Saturday evening – so please come out and celebrate Shipley's 125th anniversary.
