Complete this sentence: Shipley has prepared me to…
…take on a hard workload and manage my time well.

Reflections on your time at Shipley:
The most important thing I discovered at Shipley is my passion for service. I learned how good it can make me feel and how fulfilling it is. It is because of Shipley that I want to join the service and continue to help others. Shipley has also taught me how to manage my time. With the free periods and being able to leave campus senior year, I learned how to carefully plan out my homework so I still had time for sports and social life.

A big risk I took was doing sailing as an independent sport instead of crew. I started to really dislike crew, but it was what I was used to. In my senior year, I quit crew and started doing competitive sailing. This was a very important decision in my life because now I am a committed athlete for college. Another risk I took was moving to
honors English. Although I am better at math, I succeeded in English and tried my best.
