Science Olympiad Teams Earn Medals at State Tournament

Shipley's Middle and Upper School Science Olympiad Teams competed in the Pennsylvania Science Olympiad State Tournament on April 22 at Penn State Altoona. ⁠
The Upper School brought home three medals in the following categories:

3rd Place - Remote Sensing – Bambi Tang ’23 and Natalie Tran ’26
5th Place - Fermi Questions – Bambi Tang ’23 and Richard Liu ’25
6th Place - Anatomy and Physiology – Hailey Li ’24 and Nina Letts ’26
Shipley’s US team of 13 students placed 13th overall out of 36 schools.

Shipley’s Middle School team earned 11 medals in the following categories:

4th - Green Generation - Shea & Lilla
4th - Solar System - Anderson & Lily
6th - Road Scholar - Ethan & Henry
7th - Storm the Castle - Lily & Lilla
7th - Flight - Colin & Anderson
7th - Anatomy & Physiology - Lilla & Lucas
8th - Sounds of Music - Maya & Sanjay
10th - Wheeled Vehicle - Izzy & Henry
10th - Disease Detectives - Anderson & Sanjay
10th - Experimental Design - Lucas, Lilla & Lily

Shipley’s MS team placed 11th overall out of 36 schools.
