Sweet Domino Designs: Cute & Quirky Paper Goods
www.sweetdominodesigns.com

About Sweet Domino Designs: Sweet Domino Designs is a paper goods company specializing in greeting cards. The cards are fun and colorful designs, from birthday to graduation and all the celebrations in between. The line now includes gift enclosure cards, wine label stickers, notepads, and tote bags. Emily will bring some Shipley-inspired designs to the Shops.

On Returning for Shops: I’m excited to return to Shipley as a vendor, because Shipley Shops was always one of the best parts of fall. My love of art started at Shipley, and now I am lucky enough to get to do it for a living. It’s great to return to the Shipley community to an event I’ve always loved.”

Favorite Shops Memory: Shipley Shops takes place the same week as my birthday, which always made it a more exciting time of year. My favorite thing was when my mom would allow me to pick out a good potential present each year. I still have the necklace that I picked out at Shipley Shops for my 16th birthday!

About STHamilton Designs: Partnering with Calvert Life, STHamilton Designs will feature a line of handmade earrings, cuff links, and necklaces. The focus of the collection is to offer bold and interesting, yet comfortable and easy-to-wear pieces that can add a sense of occasion to any outfit instantly. In addition to seasonal lines, STHamilton Designs offers a made-to-order collection, where the customer gets to re-imagine an old costume piece or creates something new to her specifications and budget, which is great for bridesmaids or a special occasion!

On Returning for Shops: My years at Shipley were the most formative of my education and the base for pursuing interests further in college, business school, and professionally. It’s exciting to have the support of the Shipley community as I branch out and grow my own business and return to share what has developed from my education. It would be my hope, too, that returning to Shipley with my business could inspire or be an example to current students who might want to start a business someday! I travel to many shows on the "boutique circuit" regionally. It will be exciting to share CL with both the  Shipley & local Main Line community.

Shops Memory: My parents were involved in supporting the Shops as well as other Shipley events (my mom co-chaired the Auction). It’s special to have traditions like the Shops that not only support the School but also give us a chance to celebrate and have fun—it’s the kick-off to the holiday season! I loved going with my friends after school and buying baked goods and finding unique gifts. It’s a great way to bring the Main Line community into the School!

Jay Butler: Men’s Shoes & Leather Goods
jaybutler.com

About Jay Butler: Jay Butler is Philadelphia-based brand that specializes in men’s shoes and leather goods, selling directly to customers online. In the fall of 2015 Jay Butler will expand into women's bags and possibly men's dress shoes, all of which will be on display and for sale at Shipley Shops.

On Returning for Shops: It is pretty cool how this has all progressed. From student at Shipley to a vendor at Shipley Shops… It's nice to stay tied to the School in some way. To come back and see how the School, as well as my perspective on the School, has changed is also rather exciting. There is also something to be said for being able to come back and still be comfortable and try to help carry forward the School in different capacity than as a student.

Shops Memory: My mom used to be heavily involved in the Shops, and the committee was always looking for extra hands to help out, so I used to help the vendors clean up their booths at the end of the event. One year, Vineyard Vines was showing, and I helped them clean up their booth. The Vineyard Vines representative gave me a bow tie as a thank you, which was quite nice of him. That sticks out not because of the bow tie, but because I am now the vendor and hope that I can replicate with Jay Butler the success that Vineyard Vines has had over the past 15 years. That would be a beautiful thing.

Calvert Life: Gifts & Home Décor

About Calvert Life: Calvert Life is a collection of home accessories & décor complemented by gifts for men, women, and babies. Calvert Life is an extension of my fashion & design interests and my creative pursuits. As such, this young business is fun, energizing, and rewarding.

On Returning for Shops: With such a strong affiliation to Shipley, I am happy to participate in a major Shipley fundraiser that is such a true Shipley tradition.

Shops Memory: I have fond memories of Shipley Shops being held at The Radnor Hotel. I recall selecting a gift for my holiday list in hopes that my mother would attend Shipley Shops and SHOP! I also remember many of the Shipley Shops Chairs being my best friends' moms—thrilling at the impressionable age of nine!
