    Khloe Prem ’18 (Junior)
Khloe is currently a junior and is a Shipley “lifer,” after enrolling in pre-Kindergarten in 2004. Excelling in her studies, Khloe challenges herself by taking all of her classes at the honors level. Khloe is excited to take two of the most famously difficult science courses, Biology Honors and Physics I Honors, eager to expand her understanding of the world around her.

In addition to her studies, Khloe enjoys participating in many extracurricular activities, some of which include writing for the school newspaper, the Beacon, participating in DECA (mock-business) competitions, working tech and stage crew for the school plays, and playing for the varsity softball team.

When asked about her favorite part of being a Shipley student, Khloe responds that, regardless of background, every student is given the same opportunities for success. The strong sense of community among both the students and the teachers provides a certain level of comfort that enables students to speak up and to ask for help when needed. The strong community is another of Khloe’s favorite parts of being a Shipley student, and is something that sets Shipley apart from other schools.

Every day at Shipley Khloe strives to live up to the motto, Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing, succeeding only with the help of her peers and teachers, who enable her to do her best work and be her best self. She is a hard-working young woman trying to take advantage of every opportunity presented to her by Shipley.
