  • Encourage Alumni Giving

Shipley depends on the philanthropic gifts of alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, friends, and others. Each year, Shipley sends solicitations asking for support from the alumni community. With an alumni body of more than 4,500, your help would be greatly appreciated. You can volunteer to encourage alumni to give, share your story about why supporting Shipley is important to you, call fellow donors to say "thank you", or sign a solicitation letter to add a personal touch. Whether you have thirty minutes to spare or several hours, your help will make a difference! To volunteer, contact Jennifer Murphy Devine ′98, Director of Alumni Programs and Giving: 610-581-4656 or jdevine@shipleyschool.org.
  • Host an Alumni Reception

Do you own a restaurant, event venue, or love hosting people in your home? Become an Event Host for the Shipley alumni community! The Shipley Alumni Office hosts events for alumni throughout the country and we are  always looking for alumni who want to be involved and can offer a venue. • Sponsor an Alumni Event

Are you willing to host an event, but aren't sure you are ready for the time commitment? This opportunity will combine the best of both worlds! As the sponsor, you will choose the location (in your home, your favorite restaurant, bar, or event location) and help pay for the event, but the Alumni Office will take care of all of the details. If interested in sponsoring an event, please contact Jennifer Murphy Devine '98, Director of Alumni Programs and Giving: 610-581-4656 or jdevine@shipleyschool.org.
  • Alumni Mentoring

The Shipley alumni community is comprised of people from all age ranges and in all stages of their college and career paths. Many of our more established alumni have a wealth of knowledge and experience that could benefit those Shipley alumni who are just starting on their career path or considering a change in profession. If you are interested in connecting with a college student or young professional and sharing your knowledge, please consider becoming a mentor. If interested, please contact Lauren Roberts, Assistant Director of Alumni Programs and Giving: 484-380-4743 or lroberts@shipleyschool.org.
  • Engage with Students

There are a variety of opportunities to work with students in a classroom setting. Are you passionate about your career and want to share your knowledge? Do you have a special skill or area of knowledge that you think would help Shipley students develop a love of learning or compassionate participation in the world? Are you willing to share your journey from Shipley student to a member of the Shipley alumni community? Shipley students love to hear and benefit from your real-world perspective in an area they love learning about and/or may be considering as a career. To volunteer, contact Lauren Roberts, Assistant Director of Alumni Programs and Giving: 484-380-4743 or lroberts@shipleyschool.org.
  • Alumni Data

At Shipley, we strive to have the most up-to-date data on our entire alumni community. In order for alumni to contact each other, plan a get together, and/or network, our alumni and professional databases must be current. As a Shipley alumna/us you are connected to your classmates in ways that can help keep our directories current. Alumni data volunteers can work from anywhere in the world to help update the Shipley database. Encourage other alumni to update Shipley when they move, change jobs, get married, or have children. Contact us when you become aware of alumni news. The gathering of current email addresses is especially critical so that alumni are able to receive event invitations, reunion news, Alumni e-news, and more. To volunteer, contact Nina Testa, Alumni Coordinator: 610-525-4544 or ntesta@shipleyschool.org.
  • Provide Goods or Services

Shipley's Spring Auction is the largest fundraising event of the year - with both a live and silent auction as part of the evening. Donate experiences, services, or goods to be sold to the highest bidder! To help, contact Melissa Fairfield Grossi, Director of Parent Programs and Events: 610-581-4618 or mfairfield@shipleyschool.org.
