Join us for Super Saturday Under the Lights

Kick off the start of the new school year and celebrate Shipley’s 125th anniversary! With carnival games for kids, a free community barbeque, live music featuring Shipley students and colleagues, athletic teams in action, a DJ, and food trucks, it’s a party you won’t want to miss.
Additional Information
Shipley’s fine arts program promotes mastery of technique and encourages students to understand art on multiple levels. Our curriculum builds sequentially from Pre-K through 12th grade.

In art, students explore a wide variety of media. As they develop techniques, they gain important perceptual and analytical skills and find a healthy balance between rigorous proficiency and self-expression.

Shipley students from Pre-K through 9th grade take art class twice a week. After 9th grade, art is an elective. More than one-third of 10th- through 12th-grade students continue with art as a major course.

  • Student work is exhibited regularly on campus and included in school publications.

  • Student art work has been exhibited off-campus at the Inquirer Gallery, Montgomery County Community College, the Main Line Center of the Arts, the Woodmere Art Museum, and the Inter-School Art Exhibition.
