Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Alumni Council was established to engage diverse alumni. Our mission includes the following:
- Develop programming to engage the many diverse groups within the Shipley Alumni Association
- Advocate for Alumni activities developed by The Shipley School Administration to reflect cultural sensitivity embracing diverse groups
- Create interactions with current Shipley students which promote engagement with diverse Alumni and a positive relationship with the Alumni Association in general
Vision
…to provide the resources to facilitate purposeful interactions for diverse groups in a way that will lead to a more engaged Alumni community.
Role
…to remain in alignment with the Shipley School’s mission and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan. We offer support to the established Alumni Affinity Groups as well as a point of contact for Alumni to further engage in Alumni diversity initiatives.
