    Trina Vaux '63: A Steward of (Shipley's) History

    Trina Vaux ’63 has lived and worked with history—its study, its preservation, and its celebration—for most of her life. During the last eight years, Trina has turned that interest towards Shipley, researching and writing A Daring Vision: A History of The Shipley School 1894-2018.     Diana MacArthur ’51: Building a School and Community Stability in Pakistan

    Shipley alumna and Changemaker Diana Macarthur ’51—whose achievements and adventures span the globe and enter geo-political, educational, social, scientific, and corporate spheres—attributes her insatiable quest for knowledge and her resolute expectation of excellence to Shipley. “I learned early on that life’s not going to be handed to you. You have to study, do extra work, continually improve, be open, and constantly question things,” she says. “Just getting by does not change the world.” Learn more about Diana’s recent efforts to make a positive impact in the Karakoram Mountains of northern Pakistan, where she built a state-of-the-art school.
