Shipley Theater/Film Camp
Shipley's Theater/Film Summer Camp will offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for young artists, ages 12-18, to explore the captivating realms of filmmaking and acting through a five-day shoot of a feature film on Shipley's campus.
Led by seasoned industry professionals and passionate teachers who are experts in the art of acting and filmmaking, students will work alongside screenwriters, actors, cinematographers, lighting and sound designers, and production crew.
Through this immersive experience, our young actors/filmmakers will not only learn essential skills, but also develop the confidence and vocabulary needed to join the global community of filmmakers.

This camp is tailor-made for aspiring artists who are fascinated by the magic of filmmaking and may be considering pursuing multimedia storytelling in high school or college. It's an exceptional opportunity to build a strong performing arts portfolio.
The camp day is divided into two engaging parts. Mornings are dedicated to film workshops, where campers will dive into various aspects of the filmmaking process. In the afternoons, the focus shifts to acting, allowing students to enhance their performance abilities. As the camp reaches its thrilling conclusion, the final two days will be dedicated to showcasing their acting talents through captivating presentations and on-screen performances in the film.

*Please note that full payment is due May 15, 2023, and must be paid via a check or cashier's check. No refunds will be made after July 1, 2023.
