Many Shipley families face tough new realities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we anticipate that the need for tuition assistance in 2020-2021 will be greater than ever.

In response, we have established a Community Bridge Fund, which will provide “bridge” tuition assistance for families who now, or will soon, face the question of whether they can still afford to enroll for next year. The goal is that no student who is part of the Shipley community today, including the incoming classes, will leave as a result of the financial impact of COVID-19.

During this crisis, it is the School’s responsibility to hold the Shipley community together. We have seeded the Community Bridge Fund not only with reserves, but also gifts from both the Board of Trustees and Central Administration Team.

However, the Fund is also a means for the community to help each other -- the instrument through which help from those who can give it, can get to those who need it. If you are in a position to help, please consider making an online contribution now.
With your support of the Community Bridge Fund, you will play a major role in preserving our community and all we love about it. And you will demonstrate compassionate participation, which is what we teach our kids.
