Volunteer Opportunities
The Shipley community has a wide range of ways for you to donate your skills and ideas, depending on how much time you have to give. Please read through the following descriptions and let us know what interests you by signing up today.
Student/Parent-Related
Alumni Admissions
Alumni who are interested in working with the Admissions Office provide outreach to prospective or accepted students and their families.
Class Coordinators
Representatives from each grade meet within their divisions to help facilitate effective communication between home and school. They also coordinate various class, division, and all-school activities and events.
Admissions Ambassadors
We know that word of mouth is our most powerful marketing tool, and in that sense every Shipley parent is an ambassador for the school. Admissions Ambassadors are a pool of volunteers who do even more to support Shipley’s admissions efforts by leading tours at Shipley Today open houses, sharing their Shipley stories with applicants, congratulating accepted students, welcoming new families, and more.
Winter Teas
Upper School parents maintain the Shipley tradition of afternoon tea in the Common Room during the winter months for Upper School students and faculty.
In-School Opportunities
Additional help from volunteers is always welcome for such activities as chaperoning a student trip, helping to decorate for a special occasion at the School, or volunteering time on campus. See the sign-up form for a list of all volunteer opportunities.
