#18: Shipley's Concussion Research Partnership with CHOP

In 2014, Shipley banned the heading of soccer balls for Middle School students, becoming one of the first schools in the United States to make such a commitment to concussion prevention and safety. Now, Shipley has partnered with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to find objective ways to diagnose and measure concussions and prevent long-term effects through student-athlete participation and a research lab set up in the Athletic Director's office. Concussion prevention is just one of the ways that Shipley maintains a focus on student wellbeing. Learn more about Concussion Prevention at Shipley.
