Goal #3: Institutional Stewardship

Institutional stewardship, as outlined in Vision 20/26, is critical to Shipley in advancing its goals for educational excellence. In response, the Board of Trustees has been working actively with the administration to further streamline budgets and debt structure, while investigating steps to increase the School’s endowment, continuing to invest in people and programs. A Campus Master Plan Review will set priorities for how the campus will continue to evolve.

Investing in People

Expanding our endowment is essential to safeguarding the School’s financial stability over the long term. A robust endowment empowers us to prioritize investments in our greatest assets: our faculty and students. Students consistently acknowledge the vital role teachers play in their Shipley journey, underscoring the necessity of dedicating resources to attract and retain top-tier faculty. Furthermore, making a Shipley education accessible to students, regardless of their financial circumstances, is imperative. Income generated from endowment plays a critical role in that funding.

Campus Master Plan Review

Over the decades, Shipley’s community has generously responded to provide new facilities and building renovation, creating an unmatched academic experience for our students. In an ever-evolving educational landscape, the Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of on-going evaluation of facilities and program needs, and will dedicate this year to the development of a comprehensive campus master plan. This blueprint will serve as a strategic guide for future resource allocation and potential growth to fulfill Shipley’s mission.
