My fourth-grade teacher Mr. Wareikis will forever be the most influential teacher and person in my life. He made school incredibly fun while still teaching us. He also regarded us as people which is rare when dealing with fourth graders.

 

My favorite class was my independent study in Modern Poetry with Ms. King. I absolutely loved the class because poetry is my passion, and it was so nice to be able to do what I love in school.

 

What was your most memorable experience at Shipley?
My most memorable experiences at Shipley were Westward Ho, the Gettysburg trip, Sleep-Unders at the school, and Bombardment in fourth grade.

I am not one to lie and say everything was amazing throughout my time at Shipley. Shipley has prepared me to know what I do not want for my life. I think that is incredibly important. I know that I do not want to work a nine-to-five or be constantly swamped by work. I want to do something I love. Going into college I will be doing what I love. I used to fear that being an English major would lead to a hard financial future. However, I do not want to spend my life learning about topics I’m not passionate about. So, I've deiced to follow my passion no matter where it takes me.
