Shipley Alumnae Named Inaugural Recipients of Church Farm School Medal
Two years after first making the announcement, Church Farm School presented Stacey Shreiner Kley ’74, Caroline “Cackie” Buck Rogers ’73, and Cannie Crysler Shafer ’74 with the CFS Medal, which honors service and dedication to Church Farm School and education. That same weekend, nationally syndicated cartoonist and motivational speaker Robbin “Robb” Armstrong ’81 addressed CFS parents, faculty, staff, and friends after creating a comic strip mural for the school’s newly-created Student Life center. Many Shipley friends were in attendance, including Carla Zambelli Mudry ’81, who reflected on the weekend’s events in this recap.

BJ Glenn ’07: Building a Career on Exposure to Communities Outside His Own
The son of a North Philly cop and South Philly educator, Shipley alumnus Robert "BJ" Glenn III ’07 demonstrated prowess as an athlete and as a student. Knowing the importance of a good education, BJ's parents enrolled him in Kindergarten at Shipley where he soon made his mark in class, and later on Shipley’s playing fields in lacrosse, baseball, and other sports.
