Best Thing About Shipley: “When I think of Shipley I think of community. One of the best things I have experienced at Shipley is Super Saturday, which I think serves as an embodiment of Shipley's community. You get an unmatched feeling from all the games, excitement, and everyone being hyped up that you can only experience by being present at Super Saturday.”
One Piece of Advice for New Students: “Take risks and don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone because Shipley offers many opportunities to find something you are passionate about.”

BJ Glenn ’07: Building a Career on Exposure to Communities Outside His Own
The son of a North Philly cop and South Philly educator, Shipley alumnus Robert "BJ" Glenn III ’07 demonstrated prowess as an athlete and as a student. Knowing the importance of a good education, BJ's parents enrolled him in Kindergarten at Shipley where he soon made his mark in class, and later on Shipley’s playing fields in lacrosse, baseball, and other sports.
