| The Shipley School Distinguished Alumni Award |
| The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the outstanding achievement, the dedication, and the personal accomplishments of a Shipley alumna or alumnus in a particular field of endeavor, whether it be in a chosen profession, through formal volunteer activities unrelated to the school, or through a personal commitment to an issue, project, or cause. |
| The Shipley School Alumni Service Award |
| The Alumni Service Award is presented for outstanding volunteer service to The Shipley School by an alumna or alumnus as demonstrated by strong loyalty, exceptional contributions of time and effort, and personal commitment to the advancement of the School’s mission. |
| The Shipley School Young Alumni Award |
| The Shipley School Young Alumni Award recognizes a Shipley alumna or alumnus who has graduated within the preceding twenty years and demonstrates innovation, curiosity, and creativity in the pursuit of excellence in a particular field, whether it be in a profession, through formal volunteer activities unrelated to the School, or through a personal commitment to an issue, project, or cause. |
| The Shipley School Margaret Bailey Speer Award |
| The Margaret Bailey Speer Award is given to a graduate who has shown "Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing;" whose deeds have helped to make the community stronger and freer; who has in some way helped to lessen prejudice, intolerance, and injustice; or whose accomplishments, political, artistic, literary, or scientific, bring credit to her/him and also to The Shipley School. *Please note this award is not given annually. Any nominations made may be saved for the next award year. |
Honorary Alumni
A Head of School, a member of the faculty or staff who has served a minimum of twelve years, or any friend of the School may be invited to become a member of the Alumni Association. Every year the Alumni Awards Selection Committee shall request from the School a list of faculty and staff who are eligible to become honorary members.
The Committee shall review this list and may vote to invite an individual (from the list) or any eligible friend of the School to become an honorary member of the Alumni Association.
