We look forward to getting to know you!

As you go through the admissions process, be sure to check below to find the answers to common questions.

When is the right time to begin the admissions process?
It is recommended to begin the admissions process in September. Learn more about how to apply to Shipley.
Do we have to submit an application before we make an appointment to see the school?
No, it is not necessary to submit an application before scheduling a tour of the school or attending one of our Open Houses. However, we do ask that families submit the application before scheduling a parent meeting and student meeting. Register to attend one of Shipley's Admissions Events.
I see that we have to provide Shipley with our child’s academic transcripts for the past three years. Do they have to be official transcripts or can I provide those documents to you directly?
We require that official transcripts be sent to Shipley directly from your child’s current school.
If we will be applying for tuition assistance, do we complete this process at the same time as we go through the admission process for our child?
The application for tuition assistance can be processed beginning in early October for the upcoming school year. This process should be completed simultaneously with the admissions process. Shipley will not offer admission to a family that is also applying for a tuition assistance grant until both processes are complete. Read more about Shipley's tuition assistance process.
If we are admitted to the school, when do we have to provide Shipley with an answer and a signed contract?
Families have until February 17 to accept our offer of admission and enroll their child.
Does Shipley have a birthday cut-off?
Yes, an applicant must be four years old on or before August 31 to be enrolled in Pre-K and five years old to be enrolled in Kindergarten.
