Colin recently retired from his role as Chief Marketing Officer of The Vanguard Group.  As Vanguard’s first global CMO, Colin was responsible for marketing strategies, channels, marketing creative services, and marketing technology in support of Vanguard’s brand, investment products and services and client facing divisions. Prior to moving into that role, he led Vanguard’s Australia business located in Melbourne. Colin has served on the boards of the Upper Main Line YMCA and more recently People’s Light and Theatre Company. Colin graduated from Penn State with a degree in Economics, received an MBA from Drexel University, and attended Harvard’s Advanced Management Program.

Michelle is Executive Director at Children’s Literacy Initiative, where she leads the business development and implementation of CLI’s mission and vision by providing equity-centered coaching to school leaders and teachers in support of the delivery of culturally relevant and sustaining early literacy instruction in Philadelphia and New Jersey. Prior to CLI, Michelle led the recruitment team at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools to ensure that there is an effective educator in every classroom. She began her leadership career at Mastery Charter Schools as a Founding Turn-Around Assistant Principal and before that she was an elementary teacher in the School District of Philadelphia.  At Shipley, Michelle has volunteered as a Parent Ambassador and more recently joined the annual giving campaign as a volunteer. She is a graduate from Cabrini College where she earned her B.S in Education, B.A in Spanish and later her M.S in Education with a focus on literacy.

Melissa is a retired Director of Marketing for McNeil Consumer Healthcare. She is an active volunteer at Shipley. Melissa has been a volunteer for the Leadership Council of the Annual Fund, and Co-Chair of the Annual Fund. She has also volunteered for Shipley Shops, Auction (Co-Chair), Middle School and Lower School Grade Coordinators, and Secret Gardens. She was an Admissions Parent Ambassador. Melissa is a graduate of the University of Illinois.

Greg is a retired independent school educator with over forty years of experience.  He began his career teaching French at St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts and then moved to Philadelphia where he taught and was an administrator at The Lankenau School, Shipley, and The Benchmark School. He worked at Shipley for thirty-two years until 2009.  At Shipley, he had a variety of roles including French teacher, Head of the Foreign Language Department, Class Dean, Dean of the Faculty, Head of Upper School, and Director of Admissions.  He worked in admissions for his last seventeen years at the school.  After retirement, he has served on the Boards of Directors/Trustees at Church Farm School and Benchmark School.  Greg received his BA in French from Yale University and his Master’s in French from Princeton University.  At Yale, he was very involved in tutoring and community service in an inner-city school not far from the campus.

Gordon is an attorney and is the leader of Morgan Lewis’ litigation practice, overseeing the firm’s litigation operations and 450 lawyers worldwide. Gordon served as an adjunct faculty member at Villanova Law School for eleven years. He is the Former Chair of the Board of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and serves on the Board of the Pennsylvania Insurance Project. He is the former Chair of the Board of the Gesu School, Rosemont School of the Holy Child, and the U.S. Lacrosse Foundation. Gordon is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Law Institute, and has been named to “Best Lawyers in America” every year since 2007. Gordon is a graduate of Episcopal Academy, Wesleyan University, and Villanova University Law School.

Mimi is a Partner and Co-Market Leader at Cerity Partners, a national independent wealth management firm. Prior to this role, Mimi held a variety of leadership positions in the financial services industry. Mimi serves as Trustee for Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, as Chair Emerita of 100 Women in Finance Association (a global organization with over 20,000 members). Mimi also serves as a Director and Advisor to a few companies. Mimi received her M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. in Economics from Trinity College, where she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Squash team.

Akinwole (Aki) Garrett, class of ’00, is currently Vice President, Head of Business Development at REVOLT Media and TV. Previously, Aki has held various positions at the intersection of technology, media and telecom, having worked as  an M&A Associate in the Technology, Media and Telecom investment banking group at Barclay’s Capital, then pivoting into digital media business development leadership roles at ABC News, CBS, and SHE Media, and most recently as the Head of Global Strategic Telco Alliances and Business Development at Lenovo. Aki earned a BSBA in Finance, Accounting and International Business from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Aki currently resides in Apex, North Caroline with his wife and three children.

Kathy is a retired Human Resources and Talent Management Business Leader, having worked for two global Fortune 50 companies (General Electric and Johnson & Johnson). She practiced corporate law at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions section of the firm, and was an Associate General Counsel at a division of GE Capital. Kathy has been an Adjunct Professor, having taught academic research and writing at the graduate business school level. Kathy served as the Vice Chair of the Haverford Township Human Relations Commission, and is a member of the Haverford Township Civil Service Commission. Kathy serves on the Affordable Housing and Shelter Oversight Boards of the Community Action Agency of Delaware County. Kathy is on the Shipley Alumni Council, and serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Kathy earned a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University with Distinction in the Major, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

Kyle Lissack is the President and owner of Pinemar, a residential construction company operating in Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Kyle serves on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and formerly served on the Board of the Merion Square Scout House.  Kyle earned a B.A in Government from Colby College.

David is a Partner at Wellington Management Company, where he has been an equity analyst and portfolio manager since completing business school. David has managed subadvisory portfolios since 2004, including mutual funds for institutional clients such as Vanguard, Hartford and Nationwide.  He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. David has been a member of the Shipley Alumni Board and the 2003 Alumni Strategic Planning Committee. Dave received the 2018 Alumni Association Service Award as part of Alumni Weekend.  David has a B.A. from Stanford University and an MBA from The University of Pennsylvania.

Andrew is a Managing Principal at Graham Partners, a private equity firm that invests in industrial technology and advanced manufacturing businesses. Andrew leads the firm’s efforts in the Consumer and Food Technology sector and serves on Graham’s Investment Committee. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College, and an M.B.A. from Wharton.

Michele is a partner at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC, where she specializes in municipal liability and toxic tort liability. She also serves as Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. Michele has served as a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates, and has been selected several times for the First Judicial District Honor Roll for Pro Bono Service. She serves as a leader in several other organizations devoted to encouraging and mentoring youth.  At Shipley, Michele has volunteered for Secret Gardens, Shipley Shops, the Lower School Book Fair, served as a Middle School Parent Coordinator, architect of the Middle School’s civil rights mock trial exercise, and was a member of the Parent Ambassador Network. She is a graduate of Howard University and Temple University School of Law.

Amanda is the Director of the Phebe Anna Thorne, the Nursery through Kindergarten Lab School of Bryn Mawr College. Prior to Thorne, Amanda worked in the admissions office and taught several lower school grades at both the Chapin and Spence Schools in New York City. At Shipley, Amanda served as the chair of the Lower School coordinator program and volunteered for Shipley Shops, the Annual Fund, Auction and Secret Gardens. Amanda received her MS in Education from Bank Street College and a BA from Brown University where she was a member of the Women's Varsity Squash Team.

Ben oversees financing, management, leasing, and development for Willner Realty & Development Company (WRDC). Before joining WRDC, Ben was a Real Estate Analyst for GMAC Commercial Mortgage. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the board of Israel Ad Olam. Ben earned his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.

Melissa is a recently retired Foreign Service Officer for the State Department working under each President from the Clinton through Biden administrations. She focused mainly on National Security interests while spending most of her career abroad. She organized a week-long diversity and leadership seminar, bringing together the top female government officials from multiple countries.  Melissa served as a parent coordinator in lower school and serves on the board for the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society. She graduated from Rutgers University with degrees in Political Science, Russian, and Spanish, and received a MA from George Washington University’s Elliot School.
