Athletic Performance & Wellbeing

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

At Shipley, athletic success starts from the inside out. Our Athletic Performance & Well-Being Program takes a comprehensive approach to supporting every student-athlete — physically, mentally, and nutritionally — so they can compete at their best and thrive well beyond the playing field.

Supporting the Whole Athlete

Peak performance doesn't start on the field. It starts with the right care, training, and fuel behind it.

Sports Medicine & Athletic Training
Every athlete deserves expert care. Before, during, and after competition. Our certified athletic trainers work alongside coaches, nurses, and physicians from CHOP and Main Line Health to provide seamless, professional support for injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. Shipley is proud to be a research partner with CHOP in advancing concussion protocol and athlete safety — putting our student-athletes at the cutting edge of sports medicine.
Athletic Performance
Our performance program is built around the individual. Through sport-specific strength training, conditioning, and personalized performance plans — available both in- and out-of-season — student-athletes develop the strength, speed, agility, and endurance to elevate their game while reducing injury risk. All of it guided by our dedicated Director of Athletic Performance.
Nutrition & Fueling for Success

Peak performance starts at the table. In partnership with SAGE, our campus dining service, Shipley provides student-athletes with performance-focused meal options and practical education on nutrition, hydration, and recovery. Because we know that how you fuel matters as much as how you train.

From preparation to performance, recovery to resilience — Shipley gives every athlete the tools, knowledge, and support to thrive on the field and beyond.
