Why I Coach at Shipley
I coach basketball because I am passionate about developing players. This means improving players’ skills and habits on the court, putting them in a position to succeed on and off the court, and preparing them to reach their goal of playing college basketball at the highest level. I coach at Shipley because of the school’s commitment to creating an environment where each player can develop and reach his full potential – on the court, in the classroom, and in life. Shipley’s rigorous academics, welcoming community, and top-notch athletics program all come together to create a basketball environment where student-athletes will grow as individuals, develop their skills as players, and prepare themselves for success at the college level.

Program Highlights

• Many players have been named to All-FSL and All-Main Line teams.
• Shipley boys basketball alums have continued their basketball careers at the college level, going on to play at schools such as Penn State, Syracuse University, Boston College, Temple, St. Joe’s, Bucknell University, Army West Point, Holy Cross University, Monmouth University, NJIT, Cal Bakersfield, Coppin State University, Delaware State University, West Virginia State University, Kutztown, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg, Tufts University, University of Scranton, Juniata College, and Lycoming College.
• Past players have gone on to play professional basketball in countries all across the globe (France, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Hong Kong), as well stateside in the NBA G-League and TBT tournament.
