Why I Coach at Shipley
I coach field hockey at the Shipley School because of my deep love for a sport that empowers young women to develop leadership skills, make split-second decisions under pressure, and showcase their physical and mental strength. What makes coaching at Shipley particularly meaningful is that the school's commitment to developing well-rounded individuals mirrors the nature of hockey itself. Just as the sport demands creativity and fosters connections between teammates, Shipley nurtures innovative thinking and authentic relationships that flourish both on the field and throughout the campus community.

Program Highlights

• The team has captured 9 FSL Championships - 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2017, 2021, 2022

• Many players named to All-FSL and All-Main Line teams

• Past players have joined the ranks of a number of different colleges, such as Ohio State, Wake Forest, Trinity, Delaware, Union, Skidmore, Temple, Amherst, Richmond, Franklin and Marshall, Kent State, and Albright.
