How and why did you get into athletics/coaching/training? |
| I grew up playing sports, and they had a huge impact on my life. That passion led me into athletics and coaching. Starting my career at Pottstown School District gave me the opportunity to turn my love for sports into a career while supporting student-athletes through some of the most important years of their lives. Now at Shipley, I can continue my passion. Helping them grow both on and off the field is what makes this work so rewarding. |
What is your coaching/teaching/professional philosophy or style? |
| My philosophy is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student-athlete has the opportunity to thrive and excel. I recognize that everyone learns differently, so I strive to meet individuals where they are while encouraging growth, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to help each student-athlete reach their full potential, both in athletics and in life. |
What is your goal for every student-athlete at Shipley? |
| My goal is for every student-athlete to enjoy their time at Shipley while developing the skills, values, and life lessons that will serve them well beyond graduation. I want every student to feel supported, challenged, and connected to the community so they always know Shipley is a place they can come back to. |
Do you have any sports heroes or inspirations? If so, who are they and why? |
| While I admired many professional athletes growing up, my biggest inspirations have always been my parents. They were incredibly supportive of my brother and me, encouraging us to always do our best. They rarely missed one of my soccer games, and my dad, who coached me growing up, was always willing to spend extra time helping me improve. Their selflessness, encouragement, and commitment to my athletic journey shaped who I am and continue to influence how I support student-athletes today. |
What do you love about Shipley? |
| Coming to Shipley without any prior connections, I immediately felt welcomed by the community. From day one, people took the time to get to know me and made me feel like I belonged. Coaching girls' soccer during my first year showed me just how special Shipley is. I love being part of a community that encourages everyone to excel, take risks, and supports every student in reaching their full potential. |
| What’s one fun fact about you? |
| I am starting a side baking business - Kris & Co. Sweets! |
