  • Uniforms

    There are multiple purchasing options for Lower and Middle School Uniforms. The Middle School kilt costs $37.50 new, and the Lower School tunic costs $38.50, but these can also be purchased for much less at our used-uniform sales.
  • Afterschool Programs

    In the Upper School, students are involved in sports, the arts, and other organized activities. In the Lower and Middle Schools, students are able to participate in Encore Clubs and Later Gator. Learn more about Afterschool Programs.
  • Transportation

Financial Aid

We are committed to making a Shipley education accessible to students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Over $6.4 million is awarded to approximately 33 percent of Shipley's students annually. All awards are based on demonstrated need, and are revised on an annual basis.

Centennial Scholarship Program

The Centennial Scholarship is open to all students applying to grade nine whose families qualify for need-based financial aid. Winners receive a $2,000 annual stipend as well as an annual financial aid award for tuition to meet up to 100% of demonstrated need as reported by School and Student Services.
 
The Centennial Scholarship program is made possible through the generosity of a group of Shipley families who wish to encourage motivated, well-rounded and intellectually talented students to attend the school. 

How to Apply
To be considered for the Centennial Scholarship, please follow this timeline carefully.
 
By January 3, 2018:
  • Complete the Centennial Scholarship Application
  • Complete all parts of the admissions process: Application for Admission, Personal Interests Form, parent meeting, student classroom visit, standardized testing, teacher recommendation and school transcript(s)
  • Complete the Financial Aid application process (Parents’ Financial Statement and supporting documentation)
By January 8, 2018, Shipley will name a pool of finalists who will be invited to participate in the Centennial Scholarship interview event held in January 2018.
 
Selection Criteria
The Centennial Scholarship selection committee will consider the scholarship essay and interview, as well as the student’s admissions testing, transcript(s), and teacher recommendations. Winners will be notified on January 22, 2018.
