Shipley's innovative approach to athletic performance and training builds a solid foundation for success both on and off the field or court. The staff works with each student-athlete to develop individual goals to achieve personal success in athletic performance and wellness and ultimately help achieve the team's goals and expectations.

Shipley's philosophy guides us to use meaningful exercise experiences as a catalyst to help student-athletes learn the priority of health and wellness. We use athletics to create environments for students to compete with their teammates and learn lessons that last a lifetime.

Our performance program is specifically designed to provide opportunities for our teams to train for their sports in the off-season, and to prioritize active recovery and performance maintenance in-season.

Our programs are based on consistent and robust instruction from our Director of Athletic Performance, Sergio Jackson. Jackson is Certified in Strength and Conditioning, Corrective Exercise, and Personal Training. Sergio also holds a BA in Communications from Delaware State University and a Master’s in Exercise Science with a focus on Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.
