Alumni Affinity Groups

 
The Shipley School values the role affinity groups can play in providing students, colleagues, families, and alumni an opportunity to express themselves and work together around a common interest or a shared set of goals.

Shipley Alumni Affinity Groups exist to further alumni engagement with(in) the Shipley community. For members, affinity groups can provide personal and professional networking opportunities, a way to stay connected to Shipley, and an opportunity to give back to their alma mater through gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
 

Alumni Council DEI Committee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the Alumni Council was established to engage diverse alumni. The Mission of the DEI Committee is to:
  1. Develop programs that engage the many diverse groups within the Shipley alumni community
  2. Advocate for alumni activities developed by The Shipley School to reflect cultural sensitivity embracing diverse groups
  3. Create opportunities to interact with current Shipley students in order to promote engagement with diverse Shipley alumni and foster a positive relationship with the Alumni Association in general

Vision

…to provide the resources to facilitate purposeful interactions for diverse groups in a way that will lead to a more engaged alumni community.

Role

…to remain in alignment with the Shipley School’s mission and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan. We offer support to the established Alumni Affinity Groups as well as a point of contact for Shipley Alumni to further engage in alumni diversity initiatives.
