Jade started at Shipley in eighth grade from Phoenixville Area Middle School

Varsity Field Hockey (Co-Captain)
Events Planning Committee (Co-Head)
Debate team (Co-Captain)
Yearbook (Co-Editor)
Orchestra (4 years) 

Favorite Club:
My favorite club is the Events Planning Committee since we get to creatively plan the theme, decorations, logistics, and promotion of all school events. It is always so exciting and fun to bring our ideas to life and see how they excite or appeal to all members of the Shipley community at sports events, dances, or during spirit weeks.

Favorite Class:
My favorite class from the current school year is Modern American Women with Dr. Gillin because we get to learn and discuss influential female figures who shaped different women's movements, as well as how society views women today based on different historical perspectives.

Thoughts on Shipley:
I think of Shipley as a place that shaped who I am today - my passionate teachers and supportive classmates helped me to become a more confident, authentic version of myself. One of the best things I have experienced here is getting to form so many close relationships with my teachers and feel valued as an individual learner within the classroom.

Advice for New Students:
Make the most of every resource that Shipley has to offer - don't hesitate to try new things or get involved with something that interests you.
