Katie started at Shipley in seventh grade from Bala Cynwyd Middle School

Athletics Committee (Co-Head)

Favorite Club:
I like the Athletics Committee because athletics are a big part of my life. I am now the Co-Head, so it is a lot more fun to be able to put my visions into reality and be able to lead the other athletes into making the School more aware/excited for sports games and events.

Favorite Class:
My favorite subject is science, and my favorite class is Honors Chemistry I. I found that class to be so fun and enjoyable. I really understood the concepts, and I loved the whole year. I had a good class, which also helped to make the class better. That class made me love chemistry and want to learn even more about it.

Thoughts on Shipley:
The teachers are extremely helpful and genuinely want to help you. It took me a while to learn that they really do want to meet with you and that it is so much more beneficial to meet with teachers to take advantage of how much they want you to do well.

Advice for New Students:
I would say to be yourself and be outgoing. Some of my closest friends I met later in high school when I started to follow that advice.
