Favorite Club:
My favorite club is the Global and Service Committee. I love getting to help plan and set up different service activities and events for the school.

Favorite Class:
My favorite class that I took at Shipley is Honors African American History and the Modern Era. Dr. Gillin did an amazing job teaching this elective. We got to learn and talk about so many important topics. It was very informative and super engaging, and it was unlike any other classes I’ve taken before.

Thoughts on Shipley:
When I think of Shipley, I think of opportunities. The best thing I’ve experienced here at Shipley was traveling to Costa Rica this past summer. It was a super cool and fun trip, and something that I had never experienced before. I enjoyed getting to travel with peers, stay with a local family, and visit so many amazing new places.

Advice for New Students:
One piece of advice I would share with new students is to branch out, be friendly, and get to know everyone in the Shipley community. Getting to know so many people in different grades provides you with so many opportunities to make connections. I’ve made so many friendships and met such a diverse variety of people throughout my years here through different classes, clubs, sports, and activities.
