Megan started at Shipley in sixth grade from Wallingford Elementary School

Favorite Club:
My favorite club is the Events Planning Committee. I love being able to have a say in how our School can spend time together, and I love being able to bring my vision, as well as the members of the committee's visions, to life.

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Shipley was Honors Biology with Ms. Willing. While I loved learning the material, I also learned to challenge myself and to reach out for help when needed. Most importantly, I gained skills that have helped me succeed in my other classes, such as effective study methods and collaborative skills.

Thoughts on Shipley:
When I think of Shipley, I think of a supportive community that always has my back. One of the best things I have experienced was being able to start a Polar Plunge team benefiting from the Special Olympics through support from teachers, administrators, and peers.

Advice for New Students:
I would tell new students to get involved with as many things as possible. Even if you don't think you will have a friend in a club or sport, you will be pushed outside your comfort zone and make meaningful connections in a fun way.
