Favorite Club:
My favorite club is Science Olympiad because it gives me a chance to learn more than what we are taught in classes, while also building a sense of community with others who are also passionate about science.

Favorite Class:
My favorite class at Shipley would be Macroeconomics. It wasn't a class that I entered high school knowing I would take, and I knew nothing about the topic when I walked into the first class. Since ending the class, I've seen the concepts we've learned everywhere in the world, which was a cool thing to experience. I love that I had the opportunity to learn about topics applicable to the real world.

Thoughts on Shipley:
When I think of Shipley, I think of a school that has an incredibly welcoming student body. One of the best things about Shipley and the Shipley experience is being able to walk across campus and know the names of almost everyone you walk by because you know them through classes, clubs, sports, or other ways.

Advice for New Students:
One piece of advice that I would give to new students would be to always ask questions. In a community as tight-knit as Shipley, nobody is judging you. This is a place where you can learn without fear of getting things wrong, and the teachers and students really meet you where you are to help you grow from there.
