Katy Sherrerd ’75

Katy is a member of the Bogle-Sherrerd family, one of the largest families in Shipley history. The family includes at least 16 other Shipley alumni. In addition to her work as a Shipley trustee, Katy is a member of the Alumni Council in her second year and is a member of the LGBTQ+ Alumni & Ally Affinity Group.
Katy Sherrerd, Class of ’75, is a partner and Vice Chair of Research Affiliates, an asset management and investment firm based in Newport Beach, CA. Katy joined Research Affiliates in 2006, serving as CEO, President and COO before becoming Vice Chair. She was previously employed at CFA Institute for 19 years, where she was a member of the leadership team and Executive Director of the CFA Institute Research Foundation. Katy earned a BS and PhD from the University of Virginia, and an MS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a CFA charterholder.
