Nationally syndicated cartoonist, author, and motivational speaker Robb Armstrong ’81 has been busy this year. In June, CBS announced a sitcom based on Robb’s award-winning comic strip, “JumpStart.” Robb is a co-executive producer on the sitcom set in Philadelphia, PA.
In February, the team at Peanuts Worldwide announced the launch of The Armstrong Project, which will provide $200,000 in endowments plus additional resources to two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): Howard University in Washington, DC, and Hampton University in Hampton, VA. The Armstrong Project is named in honor of Charles Schulz’s character Franklin Armstrong—whose last name is a nod to Robb.
Finally, in September, Robb will be the recipient of Syracuse University’s Arents Award, the school’s highest alumni honor, recognizing alumni who have excelled in their fields.
