I thought when I graduated college I was headed towards a career in school psychology but felt it would be best to start out in the classroom so I could get an understanding of students from the lens of a classroom teacher. I am still here because I love teaching.

    I love the community!
     
  • What inspired you to choose education?

    I have always loved working with children. I thought when I graduated college I was headed towards a career in school psychology but felt it would be best to start out in the classroom so I could get an understanding of students from the lens of a classroom teacher. I am still here because I love teaching.
     
  • What is your favorite lesson, project, or activity? Why?

    I love any project where the students can produce content that shows their learning or understanding of a topic or concept.
     
  • What is your year-end goal for every student who walks into your classroom?

    To have a good understanding of digital citizenship as it applies to their age group; to understand that to do well and learn you have to explore and take risks—there is almost always an undo button; and to be able to use the computer or iPad to create content that is helpful or useful to others.
     
  • Are you married and/or have children?

    I have been married to my husband for over 20 years; we met in college. We have two children, Benjamin and Madelyn.
     
  • Do you have any pets?

    We have a Bichon named JJ, affectionately and also known as “JBone” and “The J.”
     
  • What is your favorite season?

    Fall- I love the pretty colors.
