Shipley Girls’ Basketball Brings Home PAISAA State Championship

On Saturday, February 25, Shipley’s Girls’ Varsity Basketball team beat Germantown Academy 52-47 to win the PAISAA State Championship. This is the fourth state title in six years for the Gators and the third state title for Head Coach Sean Costello.

"This group of girls worked exceptionally hard on being good teammates to one another this winter,” said Head Coach Sean Costello. “Our focus was on three specific things: being patient with our growth as a team, being persistent in that pursuit, and remaining positive during adverse situations. Our constant focus on these areas led us to the fourth state title in school history. Watching them grow as a team was extremely gratifying, they were fantastic!"

Major contributors to the game included senior Yndiah Bobo scoring 14 points, sophomore Anna Camden with 12, and sophomore Lauren Ross with 25 points.

Congratulations to all the members of the team on a memorable season!
