DECA Members Earn Top Honors at International Conference

Eleven Shipley Upper School students recently traveled to Anaheim, California to participate in the DECA International Career Development Conference, and three were recognized with top honors. 

Zach Bradlow '18 and Radhik Patel '18 competed in the Virtual Business Challenge – Sports category. Months of preparation came down to a 15-minute face-off with 10 other finalists, and Zach and Radhik placed third overall. 

Jasmine Powell '18 competed in the Food Marketing Series category. Jasmine completed a 100-question exam and competed in two role-play scenarios presenting potential marketing plans to judges. She earned a top role-play and placed in the Top 25. 

Over 10,000 students from across the world qualified for the International Career Development Conference by placing in the top four at their respective state-level competitions.
