Years at Shipley: 3

Please list your activities and any positions held: Stage Crew, Crew Team, Leadership Board for Positive Paws

Who was your most influential teacher and why?
Mr. Clement. He is always able to bring a smile to his students faces, which makes learning in his classroom 10 times better than every class! And of course he tells AMAZING jokes!

What was your favorite class and why?
I loved my Comparative Anatomy and Neuroscience class. Mr. Clement was the teacher who made the class so much fun. The class also gives students a great opportunity to experience and learn about some topics that normally would not be discussed until college.

What was your most memorable experience at Shipley?
My most memorable experience would be getting to be a part of Positive Paws. I really enjoyed working with the children at the Andrew Jackson School and being able to make a difference in their lives.

What does Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing mean to you?
It means learning to be my own person and taking in part in activities that allow me to be a more active member of my community.

Complete this sentence: Shipley has prepared me to… do great things in college, and challenge myself academically.

Reflections about Shipley
Shipley prepared me for college and life because it challenged me in ways that I hadn't been challenged in before, such as taking part in many service opportunities and theatre productions, as well as taking new and challenging courses each year. Shipley gives its students amazing chances to explore their academic passions, as well as their extracurricular passions, such as theatre, photography, art, or sports.
