Lower School Door Project Another way Lower School celebrated Black History Month was to take a deeper look at the rich, impactful, and innovative ways Black Americans have contributed to the arts. Lower School classes created a walking gallery of tribute, gratitude, and information about Black artists on their classroom doors. Students took many learning walks through the halls!

Celebrating Black Voices During Black History Month Shipley's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion asked members of the Shipley community who identify as Black or African American what their race/ethnicity means to them, why Black History Month is important, and what their hopes are for the future. See what they had to say.
The Shipley School is a private, coeducational day school for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students, located in Bryn Mawr, PA. Through our commitment to educational excellence, we develop within each student a love of learning and a desire for compassionate participation in the world.
