Encore Clubs

Encore Clubs offer opportunities for learning and discovering new passions beyond the typical school day. A rich array of developmentally appropriate clubs is offered to students in preschool through Grade 5. Clubs meet weekly and are offered Monday-Friday. Students are picked up from classrooms and provided a snack before clubs begin. There are three sessions during the year, fall, winter, and spring.

Time: Clubs run from 3:15-4:15 p.m.

Cost: The registration fee for all clubs is $200 per session. Please see the registration form for specific pricing information.

Mondays
 
Jr Mechanical Engineering: Widgets & Gadgets - (Grades PreK- K):  EFK
The Junior Mechanical Engineering program introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct their own roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more.
 
Creative Connections – (Grades 1-3): Ms. Sklow – ​​Students are given the opportunity to be creative through art, science, and exploration activities.
 
Maker-Space Club - (Grades 4-5) MAX of 18): Mr. Del Duca AND Ms. Donovan - Students can work on We-Do robotics and Mind-storm robotics. Students can work on building and making with electronics, Little Bits, LED lights, and materials found in the maker-space. Fun, Fun!
 
Sewing and Crafts - (Grades 1-3): Ms. Leschinsky - A typical afternoon in Sewing Club consists of a lot of sewing and a lot of fun! We will learn how to hand sew and then apply what we’ve learned to make fabulous projects.
 
Tuesdays

Creative Connections - (Grades PreK-K, MAX of 12): Ms. Sklow - Students are given the opportunity to be creative through art, science, and exploration activities.

Mechanical Engineering Toys: Let’s Make Toys: (Grades 1-2):  EFK
The JuniorMechanical Engineering: Let’s Make Toys program introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. Students explore and construct six different toys throughout this unit, including spinners, magical boomerang cans, wind-up whirligigs, and more.
 
Tennis - (Grades 2-3): Mr. Caddle
 
Yoga – (Grades PreK-K): Mrs. Wattles – Children will be introduced to various yoga techniques focusing on basic strengthening, toning, and balancing skills that promote self-control, improved focusing, better coping skills, and coordination.
 
Thursdays
 
Art Splash - (Grades 1-3): Ms. Knecht - Come let your mind explore as we construct and paint. Projects include 3D artwork, mosaics, origami, and boxsters made from recyclables.
 
Basketball - (Grades 1-3): Ms. Johnna
 
Fridays
 
Cartooning - (Grades 2-3): Mr. Caddle - If you love doodling or drawing cartoon superheroes, monsters, crazy people or animal characters, then you will love my cartooning club. We will share drawing tips and have fun making funny captions and drawings.
 
Bombardment (4th and 5th GRADE ONLY): Mr. Wareikis/Mr. Kellett - MAX of 30 students
 
Shining Knights Chess - (Grades 1-3, minimum of 8 to run): 
Our coaches are highly-rated professional chess instructors. We have taught tens of thousands of children to play, including national champions for first and second grade. Chess time is evenly split between lesson and play. All chess supplies are provided.
