Mondays

Book-Making – (Grades 2-5): Mrs. Corgan – This is a fun and educational club that is perfect for children who love to read, write, draw, and color! We will act as authors and illustrators as we create from scratch: Lift-the-Flap Joke books, Pop-Open face books, Animal House books, Accordian books, 3D House books, Fact & Fiction books, Envelope books, Staggered-Page books, and Souvenir books. At the end of each workshop, we will share our creations with the class by either reading an excerpt of our story or explaining an illustration technique we used. Children will have a collection of self-created books as keepsakes upon completing this club!

Build You Own Empire (Grades 3-5): Mr. Zubair - Interactive games that teach kids the value of compound interest and other financial fundamentals like mortgages, writing checks and building your credit. We will even incorporate Pokemon in our strategic planning. Kids play strategy games to earn money that they invest. In culmination, we will have an Olympic day where teams play each other in physical activity games.

After School – Jr. Mechanical Engineering – (Grades PreK-2):

Sewing - (Grades 2-5): Ms. Leschinsky - A typical afternoon in Sewing Club consists of a lot of sewing and a lot of fun! The focus is on learning how to hand sew and then apply what is learned to make fabric-related projects. A strong interest in learning to sew is encouraged as this club’s concentration is on stitching, applique, and other basic sewing techniques. (If you have a child in first grade who is interested, please contact Ms. L.)
